Will O' The Wisp can control the sub-atomic electromagnetic attraction between the molecules of his body. Loosely translated, he can control his density granting him the super-strength, the ability to fly, and the intangibility. In addition, he can control the light effect of his abilities to hypnotize people and put them in a highly suggestible trance.

Jackson Arvad was an electromagnetic researcher for the Brand Corporation. During a laboratory mishap, Jackson was caught in a energy surge that shattered the magno-chamber he was working on. The accident weakened the electro-magnetic attraction between the molecules of his body.
