Second Appearance - Amazing Spider-Man #7

After building another flying device in the machine shop, The Vulture escapes from prison. He builds a new set of wings and goes on a crime spree - flying loops around police helicopters, holding up a jewelry showroom, and terrorizing pedestrians.

Spider-Man tracked down the Vulture with his anti-magnetic inverter. Spider-Man activated the inverter expecting it to negate the Vulture's flying ability. As expected, the Vulture began spiraling towards the ground, but the Vulture pulled out of dive and catches Spider-Man off-guard with several punches before escaping.

While Peter is at the Bugle selling photos, the Vulture bursts in. Holding Jonah Jameson at gunpoint, the Vulture tried to steal the Bugle's payroll. Spider-Man arrives and pursues the Vulture through the Bugle offices. Finally, Spider-Man chases the Vulture outside. He webs the Vulture's wings down preventing the Vulture from flying. Fashioning a parachute from webbing, Spider-Man lets the Vulture gently descend to the waiting arms of the authorities.
