Commissioned by the Kingpin, the Tinkerer salvages the Spider-Mobile from the bottom of the river and rigs it up
with some of his own inventions. For an entire issue, the Spider-Mobile terrorizes Spider-Man and finally captures him.
The Spider-Mobile takes Spider-Man to the Tinkerer who hasn't been seen since Amazing Spider-Man #2. The Tinkerer has
stayed low and made a business providing special weapons and equipment to other low-lifes. Spider-Man ultimately escapes
the webbing and captures the Tinkerer and his assistant Toy with equipment from the Spider-Mobile.
