Returning to New York, Stegron seeks out Dr. Curt Connors and kidnaps his son in order to blackmail
his assistance. While Dr. Connors does his bidding, Stegron uses his ray to animate some dinosaur skeletons to
bring back to his lair. When Spider-Man interrupts, Stegron uses his tail to bring down an concrete
wall on Spider-Man while he escapes. Later, the Lizard catches up with Stegron in his lair just as Stegron
animates his dinosaur fossils. While the two battle, Spider-Man shows up with the anti-Lizard serum for Dr. Connors.
While Spider-Man deals with Dr. Connors, Stegron feels out into Central Park in the dead of winter. The winter chill
overcomes his system. Falling into hibernation, he slips into a lake and sinks beneath the ice.
