Released from prison, the Scorpion immediate returns to his life of crime by robbing a bank. Later, the Scorpion tracks down Spider-Man to take his revenge on the web-slinger. Catching his offguard, the Scorpion manages to toss our hero into a cement mixing vat and leaves him for dead.

Reveling in his victory, the Scorpion attempts to oust some gangsters and take over their territory. Once there, he's shocked to see the web-slinger alive and well on TV. Fleeing the scene, the Scorpion is intercepted by the Jackal who offers him a plan.

When we next see the Scorpion, he crashes into Aunt May's hotel room and demands to know where Spider-Man is. Shrugging off "puny Parker", the Scorpion goes on a rampage through the hospital looking for Spider-Man. Finally Spider-Man catches up with the Scorpion, and Spider-Man's fury catches the Scorpion off-guard and sends him fleeing. Before he can get away, Spider-Man catches up with him and threatens to drop him off of the skyscraper their battling on. Surrendering, the Scorpion apologizes to Aunt May for threatening her before being returned to jail.
