The Enforcers made their debut appearance working for the Big Man. They provided the muscle necessary for the Big Man to take over multiple criminal rackets and organizations in New York. Ox's strength allowed him to ignore the blows of normal thugs while clobbering multiple opponents himself. His strength even allowed him to shrug off blows from Spider-Man, but it was not enough to knock out the web-slinger even with a direct hit.

Eventually, Spider-Man was able to bring down the Big Man's gang, and Ox was incarcerated with the rest of the Enforcers.
