Morbius
Powers & Abilities:As a pseudo-vampire, Morbius had super-strength (could lift about 2000 lbs) and could glide on wind currents (but not fly under his own power). As a pseudo-vampire, Morbius needed to feed on fresh blood to survive, and he could create other "pseudo-vampires" by feeding on human victims and leaving them alive. Because he was not a true vampire, he did not have many of the typical vampire vulnerabilities. Garlic, religious symbols, and silver held no power over him. Also, he had an aversion to sunlight, but direct sunlight did not cause his body to decompose like a true vampire. Equipment & Weapons:Morbius uses no special equipment or weapons. Origin:Dr. Michael Morbius was a Nobel Prize winning biochemist. When he discovered he was dying of a rare blood disease, he enlisted the aid of a fried Emil Nikos to find a cure. During the course of his research, Morbius injected himself with the distilled fluids from vampire bats. An electrical shock treatment caused the chemicals in the vampire bat injects to mutate Morbius into a vampire-like creator. Driven by his lust for blood, he fell upon his friend Nikos and killed him. Over the years, Morbius has led a nightmarish existence of requiring blood to survive but feeling guilt over his victims and his condition. Morbius's Timeline |
