Man-Wolf(See also Col. John Jameson)
Powers & Abilities:During the three nights of the full moon, Jameson was involuntarily transferred into the Man-Wolf by the stone he brought back from the moon. As the Man-Wolf, Jameson possesses superhuman, strength, agility, speed, and stamina. Also, he has the heightened senses of a wolf and is able to stalk his 'prey' across New York by scent alone. He also gains excellent night vision like a wolf. His teeth and claws are incredibly sharp and capable of rending wood, soft metals, an d even cinderblock. Unlike a true werewolf, Jameson doesn't suffer from a vulnerability to silver or any of the other conventional limitations of such. Equipment & Weapons:Aside from the moon stone that grafted itself to his neck, the Man-Wolf didn't use or carry any sort of equipment or weapons.
Origin:During a secret mission to the moon, John Jameson found a red gemstone while collection lunar rock samples. Jameson felt a strange compulsion to possess the gemstone, and stole it with the assistance of a colleague. Jameson made the stone into a pendant and was wearing it around his throat on the first night of the full moon when the lunar light reacted with the stone turning Jameson into a wolf-like humanoid creature.
Appearances:The Man-Wolf makes his first appearance by attacking Jonah Jameson. Luckily, Spider-Man comes along to foil the attack in Amazing Spider-Man #124. In Amazing Spider-Man #125, the Man-Wolf's origin is revealed, but Jameson is supposedly "cured" when Spider-Man rips the gemstone from his neck and throws it in the Hudson River. |
