Powers & Abilities:

Lightmaster's powers are all derived from his suit. The suit is designed to manipulate and control photons (light-particles) for a variety of affects. The suit can create solid objects which he often uses as offensive weapons (axes, cages, battering rams, lawn mowers, etc.). Also, he can generate blasts of concussive force capable of smashing through solid bricks or steel. Finally, he can surround himself with an aura of light which allows him to fly through the air.

Lightmaster's powers are all provided by his suit.

Origin:

Dr. Lansky created the Lightmaster costume and identity in order to prevent the city government of New York from cutting the college's funding. He used his scientific knowledge and college facilities to generate a body-suit capable of harnessing the power of light. Once he realized the extent of his abilities, he was no longer satisfied from propelling himself into the college's chancellorship.
