Kraven would often use a variety of primitive hand-made weapons including daggers, axes, nets, spears, and darts. Only in his last appearance did he resort to using a gun to defeat Spider-Man. Kraven also used a many native poisons and gases which were either found naturally in the wilds of Africa or could be created using natural ingredients. Infrequently, he would resort to using electro-blasters and other such high-tech weapons as well.

Origin:

Sergei Kravinoff was the only son of Russian aristocracy that had emigrated to the UK after the Russian Revolution. As a youth, he traveled extensively and learned to survive by his wits and cunning. As a young man, he found employment as professional game hunter in Africa and considerable skill and wealth while living in wild. His strength, speed, and skill was enhanced by an herbal potion he stole from a witch doctor, and used his abilities to hunt game and export many animals skins and ivory. Amid great publicity, he was hired by the Chameleon to hunt Spider-Man and his long-standing animosity with the web-slinger motivated him so much that he finally committed suicide after beating and replacing (for a time) his foe.
