First Appearance - Amazing Spider-Man #129

The Jackal debuts as a partner of the Punisher in the now-classic Amazing Spider-Man #129. The two pair up in an effort to destroy Spider-Man. In Spider-Man's initial confrontation with the Punisher, the Jackal strikes from behind with his electro-claws and knocks Spider-Man off a building seemingly to his death.

Shortly thereafter, the Punisher and the Jackal have a falling out over the manner of Spider-Man's death. Deciding to take the Punisher out of the picture, the Jackal attempts to frame the Punisher in the death of the Punisher's armorer. However, Spider-Man finds the body first, figures out the actual murderer, and foils the Jackal's scheme.
