Powers & Abilities:

Caught in a gamma bomb detonation, physicist Bruce Banner mutates into the massive engine of destruction known as the Hulk during times of fear, rage, or stress. As the Hulk, Dr Banner possesses potentially limitless physical strength and endurance. The strength of the Hulk is corresponds with the degree of anger or stress that the Hulk is under.

In addition to great strength, the Hulk is nearly impervious to harm. He's capable of withstanding extreme hot and cold (from 3,000 degrees to -190 degrees Fahrenheit) with no ill effect. His skin is also capable of withstanding great impacts. For example, the Hulk has shrugged off direct hits from artillery fire.

Finally, the Hulk uses his strong leg muscles to leap great distances. He has been observed to cover three miles in a single bound.

Origin:

While performing tests for the US Department of Defense, nuclear physicist Bruce Banner was caught in a gamma bomb explosion. The gamma radiation trigger his mutation into the creature known as the Hulk. As the Hulk, he has both squared off against and teamed up with Spider-Man.
