The Enforcers made their debut appearance working for the Big Man. They provided the muscle necessary for the Big Man to take over multiple criminal rackets and organizations in New York. Fancy Dan's speed combined with his mastery of judo made him virtually untouchable in a fight with normal thugs. His speed even allowed him to go toe-to-toe with Spider-Man for brief periods.

Eventually, Spider-Man was able to bring down the Big Man's gang, and Fancy Dan was incarcerated with the rest of the Enforcers.
