Amazing Spider-Man #130-#131

After picking up a clue planted by the Jackal, Spider-Man heads out to Doctor Octopus' estate on Christmas Eve. There he arrives just in time witness Hammerhead interrupting the wedding between Doctor Octopus and Aunt May! As Doctor Octopus escapes with Aunt May in his helicopter, Hammerhead pursues in his own helicopter with Spider-Man clinging to the underside.

The chase leads to a Canadian island that happens to contain one of the world's richest supplies of uranium and a sophisticated nuclear breeding reactor as well. Aunt May has, unknowingly, inherited this entire island, and Doctor Octopus hoped to get his hands on it by marrying her. Spider-Man rescues and escapes with Aunt May as Doctor Octopus and his men battle Hammerhead and his gang of thugs. During the battle, Hammerhead ruptures the reactor core causing a massive explosion which, apparently, kills everyone on the island including Doctor Octopus.
