Doctor Doom
Powers & Abilities:Doctor Doom's intellect is his primary strength. He's proven himself to be one of the smartest minds in the Marvel universe and well-versed in many areas of study. He is a master of robotics and physics. He has also demonstrated incredible knowledge in the fields of genetics, weapons development, and time travel. Doctor Doom is also an accomplished sorceror. His knowledge of the occult is primarily self-taught, but he has demonstrated the ability to fire mystical blasts, erect magic shields, and open portals to other dimensions. Finally, Doom was taught how to transfer his consciousness and possess other beings by an extraterrestial race known as the Ovoids, but he uses this ability only rarely. Equipment & Weapons:Doom's primary weapon is his "nuclear powered, micro-computer enhanced suit of iron armor". The abilities of his armor include force blasts fired from the gauntlets, an electric field to stun anyone touching his armor, a force field for protection, and a jet pack for flight. Doom is constantly enhancing and improving the armor, and its demonstrated abilities are subject to change. Doom also has developed a large arsenal of weapons and vehicles for his use or the use of his minions. Finally, Doom has designed and created a large number of robots which guard his person, guard his castle, or even stand-in as a proxy for Doom himself ("Doombots"). Origin:Victor Von Doom was born the child of gypsys. His mother was a witch who was killed when he was a child, and his father died of exposure after fleeing the Latverian authorities. Doom's self-taught knowledge of the sciences earned his a scholarship to State University. During an experiment in interdimensional communications, a calculation error caused the machine to malfunction and exploded, scarring Doom's face forever. In his vanity, Doom created his first suit of armor and an iron mask to hide his scarred looks behind. He returned to Latveria, overthrew the existing monarchy, and established himself as the undisputed dictator of the small country. From his castle, he uses his scientific and occult knowledge as a means to further conquests. Doctor Doom's Timeline (in Spider-Man comics) |
