The Chameleon was deported when Spider-Man foiled his espionage scheme, but now he's back in New York and ready to resume his criminal career. However, after he narrowly escapes when Spider-Man foils his bank robbery plot, The Chameleon calls on his old friend Kraven the Hunter to come and hunt down Spider-Man.

Kraven arrives, and the Chameleon provides him with all the information available about Spider-Man - Newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and first-hand accounts from witnesses. Kraven relishes the chance to test himself against a worthy foe, but even he can't defeat Spider-Man. Despite their best efforts, both Kraven and the Chameleon end up deported once again.
