Using his costumed identity as the Big Man and the Enforcers as muscle, Frederick Foswell forcibly took over New York crime gangs and lead them on a well-organized crime spree. No crime was too audacious for his effort including using helicopters to steal mail cars and getaway efforts. Terrifying a local thug into talking, Spider-Man discovered the hideout of the Big Man and the Enforcers. However, Spider-Man was weakened by a recent blood transfusion, and he was forced to retreat from the combined strength of the Enforcers. Attempting to draw out the Big Man, Peter Parker spread word around town that he discovered the Big Man's identity. The plan worked, and Peter was kidnapped by the Enforcers. Locked in a cell, Peter easily escaped as his identity of Spider-Man. He stumbled into a large meeting of the Big Man, the Enforcers, and most of the top mobsters in the city. In the ensuing melee, Spider-Man was able to draw the attention of the police who arrived in force to arrest the mobsters and the Enforcers. However, the Big Man escaped, but the police spotted his car fleeing his later. Later that evening, officers arrived at the offices of the Daily Bugle to arrest Frederick Foswell for his criminal rackets. |
