May "Aunt May" (Reilly) Parker
History:May Parker and her husband Ben took in a young Peter Parker after his parents were reported killed in Algeria. Living in suburban Forest Hills, Ben and May had little reason to suspect that Peter was spending his time as the colorful character Spider-Man. After a burglar broke into their apartment and shot her husband, May Parker was forced to continue with financial woes, failing health, and secretive nephew. After health problems forced her into a nursing home for a time, May returned to Forest Hills and set up her home as a boarding house. Among the houseguests was one Nathan Lubensky whom May had original met in the nursing home. May and Nathan shared a romance and engagement until Nathan died at the hands of the Vulture. Shortly thereafter, the original Green Goblin had May kidnapped and replaced with an "actress". The death of the actress caused Peter to assume that Aunt May was dead until the Green Goblin's plot was revealed, and May was freed from his clutches. After May's return, she finally learned the truth that Peter had so long concealed. May walked in to find a badly beaten Peter sleeping in his bed with his Spider-Man costume and equipment scattered on the floor. May confronted Peter with his deception, and May found a new purpose in trying to rehabilitate Spider-Man's public image. During the events of the Civil War, Peter revealed his secret identity to the world. In order to protect his loved ones, Peter moved Aunt May and Mary Jane into Tony Stark's manhattan tower where May met the charming Jarvis. Aunt May's Timeline |
