Col. John Jameson

First Appearance - Amazing Spider-Man #1

In John's first appearance, he's scheduled to orbit the Earth in a space capsule. During the launch, the guidance package of the capsule comes loose sending John into an erratic orbit and out of control. Spider-Man comandeers a jet plane in order to get close to the capsule and manages to rescue John by climbing aboard the speeding capsule and manually replacing the guidance unit allowing both him and John to land safely.
